A Dress With Pockets is a delightful book, with beautiful illustrations. The story begins when Lucy's Aunt Augusta takes Lucy shopping to buy a new dress.

They go to The Fabulous Fashion Store, which has every style anyone could wish for. Frilly dresses, silly dresses, even 'witchy' and 'itchy' dresses! But none of them feel quite right, for Lucy has something particular in mind - a dress with pockets to collect all of her favourite things!

This funny story is a visual feast and it's hard to choose a favourite image. But the one of Lucy splashing through the puddles with her pockets full of 'beautiful shiny green frogs' made me smile. And the image on the last spread is wonderful, bringing this captivating story to the most satisfying end!

The brilliantly metered rhyme makes it a joy to read aloud. Highly recommended, especially for all adventurous and inquisitive children!
